Frank T. is a native of Austin, former Marine, who played ball for many years starting with the Montopolis Little League, Baberuth League, Johnston High School, and area leagues in softball, fast pitch, and hard ball. Frank T. is also a Graduate of St. Edwards University with a Bachelor's Degree and a Masters Degree and has completed course work toward a Doctorate in Business Administration.
The vision for Austin Baseball League is one of a "Community Based" baseball league, where players and coaches will serve as role models for our area youth and help develop skills such as teamwork, discipline, physical fitnes, citizenship, courage, loyalty, leadership and sharing the importance of family values and giving back to the community
It is our "Mission" to help players continue playing the game from T-Ball to all the way through high school and even college
ABL is looking for players 18 and above who just want to play ball - no experience required. We keep teams to a maximum 15 players so that everyone gets playing time
ABL played year-around baseball for 4 years, however our coaches have decided going into our 5th year - a two-season format having Season 1 and Season 2 with 15 games each season. However, ABL now plays oneseason followed by a playoff to determine the #1 team for the year as well as 2nd place
All games will be played at Southeast Metro, 4511 Hwy 71, Del Valle
Playing fee is $200 for a 15 game schedule and playoffs with 2 certified umpires at each game
ABL will use wood bats, composite wood such as bambo bat, the Baum bat, composite maple bat and BB Core "Composite Wood" baseball bats but NO BESR bats will be allowed (see league rules)
There will be a game every Sunday, weather permitting
