Greetings from Texas
Expect everyone
is having a great year
Austin Baseball League
Is maturing in a big way
Growing in a big way
And because of this
massive growth
It has taken longer than expected
Our books have taken longer than expected and our new website
Has taken longer than expected
But we're taking one step at a time
Most people do not realize
That this here Commish
Has been retired since 2013 (USMC)
And really don't need
to do anything, but enjoy life
Having raised five kids
all professionals
In their own right including
an Aerospace Engineer
and a Doctor
And having been a teacher
I just want young kids to have
a fair shot at success
By playing baseball
So stay tuned for some big announcements as
we're looking into
some incredible partnerships
that share the same vision
You can help
by either donating to our cause
or buying our books
We're a 501 (C) non profit
so your donations
are tax deductible
Any questions feel free
to email The Commish

Blessings to all

Our new website
www.austinbaseballleague.com
Is just about finished
Just a few hick ups
But I think lots of people
will like it
Our book series
is looking awesome
Which will pave the way
For our own fields
Our first books
are available on Amazon
With the rest to follow soon
But here's what they look like

AVAILABLE ON AMAZON
UPDATE 04/01/25
While an apology is fine
There has to be remedies
As Commish
the responsibility to keep
things going falls on me
And from the beginning
I accepted that
However, as our project
seems to keep getting bigger
it is taking longer
But be assured that regardless
of how long it takes
it will happen
There are several positions
that need attention
Like someone to help maintain
and develop this website
To include opening up
an on-line store
that will offer
ABL t-shirts, decals,
hats, polo type shirts and other
ABL type of merchandise
Whoever is selected
for this position
will eventually become
a partner that will lead to a
managerial position
In addition, we are in need
of someone to help with coordinating the development
of the different phases of construction
They will be 7 phases
and upon completion
we'll have our first International Baseball Tournament
as we're talking many teams
from all over the world coming
to showcase their baseball skills
I hope everyone is understandimg
We're also working on
2 baseball inventions
A state of the art
pitching machine
and a training machine that will
expedite practices
for all positions
So here is an opportunity
to be a part of history
This going to be fun and exciting
Interested?
Email me at ablbaseball2012@gmail.com
It takes more than a few dedicated persons
to do such a big endeavor
Do you have what it takes?
And my apologies for taking so long
between updates
Hopefully we'll get some believers
on board to maintain,
move forward
and ccomplish
what we started in 2012
Speaking of 2012
We're tying to get a hold of Brandon Weber
Brandon was a big help
in the beginning
to help ABL get started
and grow
As Commish, I feel
that he should be
a part of our success
If anyone knows his whereabouts
or how to get a hold of him
have him get a hold of me
I truly miss him
Commish Frank T
UPDATE 1/20/24
Much discussion is going around
Starting with the infrastructure
funding, etc
Hope to give an announcement
this Spring
So hang on
UPDATE 12/26/24
ABL is progressing slowly but progressing
No decision yet as to how
everything will be structured legally
But we're getting close
We're also getting close on possible locations
And we're also getting close on our start up funding
Lots to get excited about and we are
Still get a few calls, emails or text
mostly to check on this ole Commish
We'll believe me that
I have never been happier in my life
Lots to be grateful for
Still the project just getting bigger
But we're not in any contest
Nor on a definitive time line
We just want to play ball
and make history in the process
So stay tuned for an annoucement this coming spring
UPDATE
What started out as our goal to build a 2-field complex
Has taken on a new vision
Cannot go into details yet
as all the legal matters need to be taken care of first
So stay tuned as Austin Baseball League
continues to make history
Once the legal work is done
we begin the infracture part
and there will be many more updates
coming as we proceed
Commish Frank T
Hope everyone had a great holiday season
and may 2025 be everyon'e best year yet
Commish Frank T
As Commissioner I do not consider not having a season
this year to be a finality
Yes our head umpire moved out of town, and finding good umpires is quite difficult, which is why when we start up again we are going to train our own umpires
Initially, we were considering building a two-field complex
However, after further consideration that two-field complex has turned into a six-field complex with other commodities of which I will go into at a later date
Which is why I am not worried about looking for teams
So there you have it
For those who doubt if we can accomplish this epoch-making endeavor let me enlighten you
I have a BBA and a Masters degree and I lack 3 courses for a Doctorate in Education all while having completed all the course work for a Doctorate in International Business
I think its time I put all of my abilities to work
More to come as we go

Austin Baseball League's 2022 Spring Champions The Acereros
.jpg)

This Championship by the Acereros was a very special one
They beat the Cannons by a 7-6 score
They then beat the Blue Devils by a score of 9-8
And in this game the Acereros were losing 8-2
heading into the bottom of the final inning
but came back to score 7 runs and came out
the winner 9-8
Now in the championship game again the Acereros
were winning heading into the 4th inning by a score of 9-2
Then the Storm Chasers scored 5 and were now behind
by a score of 7-10
The Acereros then held the
Storm Chasers to 2 runs for the remainder of the game
while scoring 2 and won 12-9
This game was very close (for a championship game)
but the Acereros had some guy named Jay who
hit a 2-run homer in the 1st and a grand slam in the 2nd
What a game for a new team coached by Jerry Maldanado
who earned Coach of the Year honors (picture lower L)
Pictured in the lower R is none other than MVP Jay
who had more than great game
And pictured below are the Acereros fans who seemed
like they came out for every game in support
Our hats go out to Jerry and his Acereros for winning
ABL's Championship in our 10th year
Our hats also go out to the Blue Devils, coached by Nando,
Ronnie and Christian who took their team to the playoffs
losing to the eventual champions the Acereros
Our hats also go out to Adam Bradley who coached
an expansion team The Storm Chasers into the
championship game
This was a great year considering all the ups and downs
The Blue Devils jumped on the Acereros
scoring 7 runs in the 3rd inning
and held the #1 team to 2 runs through 6 innings
while scoring 1 run for an 8-2 lead
At the beginning of each game the managers
meet with the head umpire and talk baseball
and specifically who has home team advantage
In this case the home team was
the Acereros, again were losing 8-2
Well the Acereros were not a team to give up
and scored 7 runs in dramatic fashion thereby winning 9-8
The #1 team will now play the #2 team
the Storm Chasers Sunday the 31st
at Southeast Metro in Del Valle
Now this should be a great game
In the Playoffs
There always seems to be some surprises
So far no real surprises as the #2 seed the Storm Chasers
beat the #4 seed The Texas Lone Stars 9-3
With the #1 seed the Acereros earning a bye in the first round
Will now play the #3 seeded Blue Devils who beat the
#4 seeded Cannons 14-6
It now appears that the Acereros will have their hands full
The winner of this game will head to the championship game
on the 31st vs the #2 seed Storm Chasers
Still gonna be hot so everyone bring plenty of water
Austin Baseball League
is the only league that accepts players
throughout the season (for 2025-26) with the exception
of during the playoffs

Our 2021 Champions - the Dodgers

Shown above are the Dodgers who are now ABL's 2021 Champions
Defeating the mighty Tacos 7-1
It was a close game through 4 innings with the score 1-1
But then the Dodgers scored 2 in the 5th, 3 in the 6th and 1 in the 7th
while holding the Tacos scoreless
Getting the traditional "water cooler"
was Head Coach "Fuzz"
who also earned "Manager of the Year" Award
The winning pitcher was Matt Cavazos holding the Tacos to 1 run in the 1st and scoreless the rest of the game
Matt also earned "Player of the Year" Award
Congratulations also go out to the Texas Tacos who led
all season long and was the no 1 seed going into the playoffs
But the Dodgers were building up their play just for this game
The Tacos are one of the premier teams around
closing in on their 100th win
At ABL parity is very important and we will continue
to build up our teams so when we play in other tournaments
ABL will be represented well
ABL would like to thank all of our players, managers
and Travis County Parks for allowing us to have our season
and finish with everyone happy we were able to do so
The Championship was up for grabs between
the Dodgers, Rebels and the Tacos
The Dodgers beat the Rebels 13-11 for the right to play
defending Champions Texas Tacos
The Dodgers were hot going into the playoffs
and beat the Tacos 7-1
